do you ever think that the ending of six hundred strike, actually added to the poseidon & athena beef? like i can just imagine them both in beds in apollo's olympus infirmary, just arguing with/at each other! meanwhile poor apollo is just tying to heal them both.
athena: *ranting* i've been odysseus' mentor/friend since he was a teenager! and he still didn't listen to me!
athena: i told him to put his emotions aside but noooooo, he had to let the cyclops live!

athena: *ignoring poseidon and continuing her rant* ruTHlesNEsS iS meRCy UpOn OUrseLVEs. isn't that what you said?!
poseidon: well yeah, BUT HOW WAS I TO EXPECT THAT SAD WET CAT OF A MAN WOULD BE FILLED WITH SOME FORM OF DIVINE RAGE?
apollo: please you two are gonna open your stitche-
athena: oh you deserved it. you literally showed the man his island before trapping him AND THEN you started THREATENING his wife and son? oh that was your final mistake.
poseidon: whatever! so much for you calling him a warrior of the mind. he's a monster!
athena: *wipes tear away* i know, im so proud.
apollo: *tired of their bickering & now glowing in anger* please for "dad's"sake will you two just shut up and let me heal you both?!
poseidon & athena: *shuts up immediately* o-ok

Injured and trying to hide after a fight with GIW, Danny has to overshadow the first person he sees. Because of how weak he is at the moment, overshadowing doesn't work as usual, and he's just a voice in the guy's head, no actual control over the body. The person he overshadowed? Billy Batson.
Yes, it's divine twitch chat au. Billy probably doesn't even notice a new voice for some time. Danny is very confused because there are just so many people in there and they're gods and who the hell did he possess???

Types Of Witchcraft
Note: These are general/basic explanations of different classes of magick/witchcraft. Practitioners can fall into multiple or none of these categories. Ultimately, only an individual can choose their labels.
Tumblr media
Green: Utilizing greenery/plants/herbs/flowers in herbal/nature magick, such as creating blends of different plants or primarily using herbs in spellwork. May keep a garden and take great pride in their workings/connection to the earth and nature.
Hedge/Shamanic: A type of magick that's more oriented towards spirit work, Otherworld and astral travel, dream work, spiritual power and healing. May work with psychedelic/psychotropic/toxic plants and fungi as spiritual tools (ie: flying ointments/teas made from amanita muscaria or datura)
Sea: A type of magick derived from materials/abstract ideas involving the ocean world. Sea magick is worked using various items from as well as one's own connection to the sea and its creatures.
Storm: Magick that is worked by combining one's own energy with the energy of the weather, most commonly storms. Storm witches may have practices such as collecting storm water or snow, "whistling up" or manipulating winds, or performing rituals during severe weather.
Hearth/Kitchen: Magick performed through kitchen craft and/or mundane tasks/crafts around the home or for loved ones. Typically worked daily through food, herbal mixtures, crafting, decorating, and hobbies. May also work with the Fae/elements/nature.
Tea: Those who drink tea, make their own tea mixtures, or enjoy blending herbal remedies and often use reading tea leaves as their form of divination.
Urban: For those who live in or prefer an urban setting/lifestyle. Magick that is worked in densely populated areas and big cities, without some of the seemingly "traditional" aspects of witchcraft.
Tech: Magick that is skillfully worked through technology. A tech witch might cast spells/do divinatory readings on the internet, use magick based apps/programs, or keep a digital grimoire/library.
Elemental: Magick that is worked by honoring/acknowledging all 4/5 elements (Fire, Air, Water, Earth, and/or Spirit). Elementalists may dedicate part of their alter to each element and call upon them during rituals/spells. Conversely, they may choose to focus on only one element changing the designation to either fire, air, water or earth witchcraft.
Fae/Faerie: The magick of those who work and commune with the Fae. Faerie witches may do rituals/spells around the Fae, ask favors of them, have regular communication sessions, and leave them offerings. The Fae are very unpredictable and strong but, with time and respect, they share their magick with special individuals.
Infernal: A system of spirit work/magick that revolves around Infernal spirits/entities, such as demons, djinn, or other spirits of a chaotic alignment. This practice requires a surprising amount of shadow work and dismantling of oppressive religious systems. They may summon demons, perform rituals/spells with them, make deals, or take them up as magickal familiars.
Necromancy: The practice of seeking the assistance of, summoning, communication, and diving through the dead. Practitioners may frequent cemetaries/burial grounds/haunted locations and perform magick and spiritual/divinatory readings there. Often employ the use of pendulums, dowsing rods, talking boards, black mirrors, grave dirt, and bones.
Draconian: Draconian magick is a practice that involves engaging with dragons as powerful forces and allies in spiritual practice. It can include rituals, symbolism, and techniques to connect with dragons, and may be used for empowerment, healing, and spiritual growth.
Chaos: A type of magick utilizing new, non-traditional, and unorthodox methods. It is a highly individualistic practice that draws from many magickal disciplines (eclecticism).
Blood/Sanguine: A very potent class of magick that includes the use of one's own blood or that of another in powerful rituals/spells.
Sigil/Art: The use of sigils, symbols, glyphs, runes, or artwork infused with will and intention. This practice is vast, versatile, and diverse with each practioner producing truly unique results.
Lunar: Lunar magick is the practice of performing rituals during the different phases of the Moon to bring about physical or psychological change. They may honor/worship the Moon, do moonlight rituals, or make moon waters. Conversely, one could work with the Sun in much the same fashion.
Cosmic/Celestial: Magick that incorporates the stars and planets. Astrology is a dominant force in their lives and witchcraft and they consider the placement of celestial bodies before doing a working.
Crystal: Incorporation of crystals/stones in one's magickal practice. May make crystal grids, include them in their spells, use them in energy work, meditation, or for Reiki healing.
Glamour: Glamour magick is an enchantment type that adjusts or changes your outward appearance, or people's perception of your outward appearance and can include the enchanting of jewelry, clothing, and even makeup for magickal purposes.
Shadow: Magick with a focus on the elements of darkness and shadow. May practice umbrakinesis (shadow manipulation), magickal subterfuge and illusion, and feel at peace, and even practice, in pitch black darkness
Are there any you feel I should have included? Please let me know! I'd love to expand this list. :)

I just think that Kristen "I was my God's chosen one and I met him and he adored me but he wasn't what I needed and I didn't like the kind of divinity my church had turned him into so I left and created a pantheon dedicated to the lost and the confused and the hurt because no one should have to feel the way I did" Applebees and Ostentatia "My God barely knew my name and I met him and he was dismissive of me but he loved me and always provided what I needed and when I looked at him I only saw my father so I helped him because no one should be left to drown under their burden when all they need is a little help" Wallace should meet and be friends and maybe kiss on the mouth

Today’s random Craft thoughts -
Divine Masculine and Divine Feminine could add Divine Neutrality or Divine Liminality and it would be so much better because nothing in nature conforms to a strict binary
People who claim to have THE answer are wrong. There is no single “way” to do anything in the Craft.
This includes me - just because something works for me doesn’t mean it will work for someone else.

Trading Card Game Divination
One of my main ways of divination, next to the Clow cards, is Magic the Gathering. After years of trying methods like tarot, lenormand & other cartomancies I saw someone on twitch giving readings with pokemon cards. I was interested and I've been doing it ever since!
Building your deck
First you have to decide what system you will be using. Magic the Gathering? Pokémon? Lorcana? Altered? (etc) When just starting out I suggest using cards you already have. It may not be the best of the best, but you can get an idea of what you want and if you like it. My own decks have between 50 and 75 cards.
What's also a neat thing is that you can tailor TCG divination decks to your liking! You could make a theme or have 'em be nicer or meaner (I like a blunt deck, personally). You can also keep upgrading them as new sets come out. For example, my Magic the Gathering deck is a mix of Theros, Strixhaven & Wilds of Eldraine.
The Basis
Regardless of what route you take, your deck should have a base of one card of each mana type, if your tcg of choice has those. It will be the element in it's purest form like the aces in tarot. You can always take type meanings with you as cards will have one or more anyways.
A few examples:
Magic the Gathering
Plains (Positive, beginnings, good luck, life, etc)
Swamp (Negative, endings, rebirth, death, etc)
Mountain (Fire, passion, struggles, aggressive, speed, etc)
Island (Water, emotions, isolation, magic, etc)
Forest (Earth, roots, strength, growth, etc)
Pokémon
Normal (Basic, nothing, potential, mundane, etc)
Water (Emotions, fluidity, adaptable, etc)
Fire (Passion, drive, aggression, excitable, assertive, etc)
Grass (Earth, roots, growth, slow, passive, etc)
Electric (Energy, sudden, fast, shocking, irritable, etc)
Fighting (Endurance, fighting, tradition, studying, etc)
Psychic (Intuition, magic, manifestation, etc)
Dark (Unknown, unseen, struggles, shadow, negativity, etc)
Steel (Perseverance, support, willpower, etc)
Fairy (Wishes, hope, positivity, etc)
Dragon (Strength, magnanimous, divine, magnificence, etc)
Lorcana
Amber (Resilience, persistence, patience, dedication, etc)
Amethyst (Sorcery, mysticism, power, limited options, etc)
Emerald (Flexibility, adaptability, change, analytic, witty, etc)
Ruby (Courage, challenges, speed, confrontations, etc)
Sapphire (Knowledge, creativity, inventive, strategy, etc)
Steel (Strength, imposition, perseverance, mundane, etc)
There is a lot from the card itself you can take with you in your reading. Let's look at Spectacle Mage to see what.
Tumblr media
You can use:
The cost, their attack & defense or all together (numerology)
The name of the card
The subtext of the card
The abilities of the card
The (creature)type of the card
The element(s)
The image
The setting
Pokémon cards will have attacks and stages you can take with you in your readings, next to how they act (try sites like bulbapedia). With Lorcana you can look at the stories of the disney characters, as well as the lyrics of their songs and whether they can turn into ink or not.
Now to add other cards! You want a mix & match of different themes. If you build a deck of around 50 cards I advice you have little theme overlap between the cards unless you like the nuance. My Pokémon deck has Deino & Diglett which both can mean overwhelm with the versions I have. But whereas Deino is pure overwhelm because it can't find its way nor its family, Diglett's overwhelm is because it dug out next to the sea. You dug too deep, poked your nose where you shouldn't have, said yes one too many times, etc.
Once you have a good amount of cards you can give 'em cute sleeves, practice with your deck and build up from there!

Flame Reading🕯
Flame reading is an easy way to communicate with deities or practice divination. Hell, sometimes i use it just to get a little insight on how my spell is going. Here are the basics.
A high, steady flame means yes
A low, steady flame means no
A short, weak flame also means no
A dancing flame can mean your spell needs more focus or serve as a sign you need to ground yourself and ask again. Sometimes in the case of deities, it can indicate excitement
A particularly violent, flickering flame signals a strong no, sometimes even a warning
A crackling flame suggests the answer to your question is more than just a yes or no
Flame leaning to the left means yes
Flame leaning to the right means no
If the candle refuses to light or goes out before it gives an answer, then now isnt a good time
On the contrary, if the candle will not go out then you're not done yet, especially if its deity-related

Hear me out: Harry time travels to Tom's era and takes a teaching job at Hogwarts just to keep a eye on him but the only open position?
Divination.
Luckily Hermonie made him time travel with history books and all of his "visions" are true. Unluckily Tom isn't on his roster. So how does Harry get close to him?
"I had a prophecy"
"Did you really? What was it?"
"The prophecy dictates that I have to keep Hogwarts open over summer as a camp or the world ends"
"... seems fake but your seer powers have never been wrong before so okay."
"RIDDLE WANT TO GO TO SUMMER CAMP? ILL TEACH YOU HOW TO ROW A BOAT, TIE A KNOT, AND LOVE YOUR FELLOW HUMANS"
Harry would cause so much chaos as the divination teacher omg. He'd initially be like "i have become what i hate" but then he'd go "hey you know what this is actually hilarious".
Reading his history books in private and then coming in like "damn really sucks that X is gonna happen" and everyone is confused because aren't prophesies supposed to be said in a riddle or while the seer seems off-their-face high? And Harry just responds with "you know generalisations like that are actually really harmful". Two weeks later the Thing that he 'predicted' happens and people just have to accept that their divination teacher is either secretly orchestrating these events or can actually see the future.
Sucks that he can't hone in on individuals though. Harry having to try and find a nice way to tell Random Ravenclaw Student #3 that "sorry I can't see your future" without revealing its because they never did anything cool enough to get into his many history books.
But once he builds up enough cred with the other professors he would then start bullshitting so hard to get what he wants. He's doing the divination equivalent of writing a get out of jail free card because all he has to say is some wishy-washy prophecy stuff or claim its to avoid a disastrous future (and really - is he even lying? Getting Tom some morals and empathy would make the future less of a shitshow), and most people believe him.
Summer camp? Dippet signs off on it purely to get Harry out of his office lest he start 'predicting' the ways he could die again (he still avoids every third step in the castle after that one ominous warning).
Apprenticing Riddle because 'he has a real talent for prophecies'? Horace agrees enthusiastically because Harry 'predicts' the winning teams of the international quidditch rounds and he's made a nice sum of money already.
Tom is bemused but willing to go along with it because there must be real power to Professor Potter's predictions and maybe if Tom can learn it he can see into his own future.
